A BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT ME

My interest in design started before I knew what design was. When I was 10 years old, growing up in San Jose, California, my father hooked up the lone family computer to the web and my older brother taught me how to surf it. We both discovered a fascination for the internet – but more specifically, I was obsessed with the personalization of it all.

Fast forward many years later and in December of 2012, after 5 rigorous semesters of traditional and conceptual design courses, I graduated from San José State University's BFA Graphic Design program. I moved to San Francisco and spent the next 5 years learning and growing with two world-class agencies, Sequence and AKQA, and tech start-up, Hired. Today, I get to be a part of the brilliant team at Google, shaping the future of Search UX as a visual designer.

When I'm not working, I'm just like any other true Bay Area native. Find me cheering for all the local sports teams (go Sharks!) or hunting for music events nearby (currently streaming: this hodgepodge). I love bantering over a beverage (coffee, boba, or a brewski), and spending as much time eating good food with even better company. Love, passion, and inspiration – these are the things I live for, and am lucky to have much of it in my life so far!
